In December, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released a report affirming what RWCs know to be true – Ryan White HIV/AIDS providers are achieving record levels of viral suppression.  The report, Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Services Report (RSR), shows that RWC clients reached a viral suppression rate of 85.9 percent in 2017, up from 69.5 percent in 2010.  RWCs also exceed the national viral suppression average by over 26 percentage points.

The 340B program plays an important role in helping Ryan White HIV/AIDS providers reduce viral loads and achieve such high levels of viral suppression.  The 340B program enables RWCs to stretch their grant funds to support the full continuum of care that their patients need, enabling them to offer a wider range of services and improve the quality of care delivered to persons living with HIV/AIDS.
